“To create a life that’s worthwhile, not just for ourselves but for those around us, we need to find something we love to do that benefits society.” – Tom Rath
We know that people are best when they do something that they really love, something they love so much that doing it by itself is the reward. Skyeye is a passion product of all its members, we are simply doing what we love doing and by doing what we love to do we create this, a multi-disciplinary company on the crest of a brand new industry. We wake up every morning not to go to work, but to live and because of that there is literally no such thing as a holiday in Skyeye. We are keenly aware of this and we want that every new person who enters the team are doing what they love to do, even if they are good, really good but their heart is not in their work, we would politely ask them to leave. To leave because
- They won’t be happy in Skyeye , and come on everyone wants to be happy
- We won’t be happy to see someone doing something because they just have to do it.
Because we are doing our passions, we are all energized and we want that to continue that even when we are 7 or 700. To protect this, we have to become a strength-based company.
“There are lessons to be learned from the best Entreprneurs & their struggle with self-awerness and the impact of their achivements. One such lesson can be summariezed by Gergen’s observation that “what we have been told since the time of the Greeks is that every leader must try to control his own passion before he can …hope to command the passion of other.”
What is a Strength-based company ?
A Strength-based company is a company that is keenly aware that each employee has unique gifts and that there are perfect for very specific roles, her hiring, firing, promotion and repositioning activities will reflect this. Also a Strength-based company knows that best way to grow its employees is not to fix their weaknesses but rather to grow them where they are already good and just create support systems to reduce the possibility of their weakness hampering their success.
We screw the conventional wisdom because it is easier, it is easier to believe that we all have the same unlimited potential; that the best way to help ourselves and others is to correct their weaknesses and treat everyone the same way. We believe in individuality and each and everyone’s unique way of expressing themselves.
We have a culture to protect. A way of life to protect. We have a company to protect and this is one of the tools we are going to use to ensure that.
